Health app website case study

A production health-tracking app and the cinematic marketing site that sells it. One studio designed, built and deployed both.

01 · The brief

What did this project involve?

Two deliverables: a production health-tracking app, and the marketing site that sells it. The same studio carried both from first design to deployed-and-running.

Product and pitch are usually split across a dev shop and an agency, and the story drifts from the software. Here the hands that wrote the scheduling engine also set the type on the page that explains it. Nothing on the site claims a feature the app does not have.

02 · The app

What does the health app do?

It schedules complex recurring health protocols, forecasts what comes next, and tracks what each dose costs. It is production software: a real database, a test suite, a deployment that is live and running.

The scheduling engine is the hard part. Health protocols repeat, pause and change over time, and the engine resolves them into a day-by-day plan without losing history when the plan moves. Forecasting projects forward from the same schedule. Cost analytics turn recorded purchases into a per-dose figure.

None of that is a prototype. It was tested before it shipped and it has been running in production since.

03 · The proof

How does the site prove the app is real?

Its portfolio panels are the app's own interface geometry, lifted as vectors. The panels below are actual chart paths and schedule grids taken from the product, genericised, and inlined into the page as SVG.

Screenshots were never an option. They go stale the day the interface changes, and they weigh hundreds of kilobytes each. A vector lift weighs a few kilobytes, stays sharp at any size, and can be drawn on scroll.

04 · The speed

How does the finished site perform?

It loads fast, and that is measured on the live build after launch, not promised in advance.

The site is static-first: system font stacks, inline vectors, no third-party scripts. Pages built this way stay fast on a mid-range phone on a slow connection, which is where buyers actually read them.

05 · Cost and timeline

What does a build like this cost?

A cinematic marketing site starts at $1,490, an online store starts at $1,490, and a production web app starts at $4,900. Every job gets a fixed quote from the project brief, and we reply within 2 business days.

The full ladder is on the pricing page, and website cost in Australia sets those figures against what agencies commonly quote for the same scope.

On timeline: we build in days. Typical agency timelines for comparable work run to months.

06 · The takeaway

What does this prove for your project?

One studio can take a product from the database schema to the site that sells it. If your project needs software that runs and a page that makes people want it, that is one brief here, not two.

The same discipline applies outside health. The plan simulation case study covers the B2B counterpart, the online store case study covers commerce, and websites for health brands covers this sector in more depth.
